Instrument builds
One day not so long ago, I realized that I have built musical instrument since I was a small kid. It is something I really love so here is some later works.
An electrical cello based on viking longship form.
This is a small electric violin which is mostly 3D printed. The fingerboard is wood and I have used regular guitar tuning screws to make it simple.
Here is another cello tryout in a modern and abstracted shape, but not necessarily acousticly better.
This first idea was to have four contact points on the bridge which should reach out to the minor areas. Those areas where ment to have double drumskins built in so the material would move easily. But I think the whole build will become a hurdy-gurdy instead. The plywood is not very well suitable for acoustict instrument but will do as a test where I can make anotherone using spruce later.
3D printed Oboe made after measures from a museum sketch. During my teenager I played oboe a lot and love the sound from it. But since we where six siblings living at that time at home, the rehersal time hade to be choosen wisely since the sound penterates almost everything. Unfortunately I haven't yet succeded in getting more than a few notes to sound good.
