Into the woods
Some watercolor works from the woods.
I love using very thin and many washes in the beginning which will build up the overall light settings.
Even if the subject can seems very simple, a significant task for me is to present some kind of invisible presence and short or long story to tell to the beholder.
The watercolor with the trail in blue above, where painted as it would have been a print. Starting with yellow, red and later blue and darker mixes. When looked at in real life, you get a shimmering effect with deep which I really like. This technique I'm I using in most of my works nowadays.
